Actress Taapsee Pannu is hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons these days. Her house and office was recently raided by the Income Tax department and several discrepancies have said to be found.
Taapsee is currently dating Denmark based badminton player Mathias Boe. Seeing Taapsee caught up in tough times, Mathias stepped up and asked Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju for help.
He took to Twitter and wrote, “Finding myself in a bit of turmoil. Representing India for the first time as a coach for some great athletes, meanwhile the I-T department is raiding Taapsee’s houses back home, putting unnecessary stress on her family, especially her parents @KirenRijiju please do something.”
Kiren replied to him saying, “Law of the land is supreme and we must abide by that. The subject matter is beyond yours and my domain. We must stick to our professional duties in the best interest of Indian Sports.”
The IT departed conducted raids at homes and offices of Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, and other shareholders of Phantom Films. In a press release, the officials said that they have found income discrepancy worth Rs 650 crore after raids.
