Actor Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested by the NCB in connection with the Sushant Singh murder case, recently spoke about some intimate details regarding her late boyfriend, Sushant Singh, in an interview with India Today. When asked if she supplied drugs to Sushant Singh, Rhea denied any involvement. She expressed her desire to move away from discussing topics related to drugs, NCB, and CBI investigations, emphasizing that people should focus on her mental health and how she coped with the situation following Sushant’s death.
Regarding finding closure, Rhea mentioned, “I don’t think closure is the right word. I don’t believe you can find closure in something like this. I faced a personal loss, and there can never be closure for that. It becomes a part of your life initially, and then your life grows around it. It will always be present, lurking in the background, reminding you that it’s there. So, I don’t think I will find closure in that sense. However, it has changed my perspective, yes.”
She further added, “Honestly, when I enter a room, I can sense it in people’s expressions. Some look at me with sympathy, wondering how I’m managing, while others are supportive and encourage me to move forward. During conversations, I can almost hear the thoughts in their minds. Sometimes, they look at me and think, ‘She doesn’t seem like a criminal.’ I can sense those thoughts simultaneously. Does it affect me? Absolutely not.”
Sushant Singh tragically passed away on June 14, 2020, when he was found dead in his apartment. Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the NCB on charges related to drug possession but was later granted bail by the Bombay High Court after a few months.
