Dharmendra Recalls Jaya Bachchan’s First Photoshoot Before Her Debut

Dharmendra recently shared the screen space with Jaya Bachchan in Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. It was wholesome to watch the Guddi co-actors reuniting after a long time. Jaya made her Bollywood debut as a lead actress opposite Dharmendra in the 1971 film Guddi. 52 years have passed and Dharmendra still calls Jaya -“Guddi”.

At a press conference for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Dharmendra talked about her equation with Jaya Bachchan and also recalled her first photoshoot. He said, “I still call her Guddi. Her first photo session was done at our home. She is still Guddi for me. She was my fan. She was even telling me the dialogues.”

“Guddi is a fine actress. We still visit each other. Whenever we meet, it feels great. She is still my Guddi,” he added.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani features Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. Dharmendra and Shabana’s kissing scene has become the talk of the town as the film hit the theatres last week.
