Indian Filmmaker Anees Bazmee is currently riding high on success with his recent release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. He took over the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise from Priyadarshan, who directed the original movie in 2007. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, and Kiara Advani in the lead has entered a 150 crore club at the box office aiming to make 200 crores. The horror-comedy has left a lot of movies behind in the race to become a blockbuster after the theaters reponed following the global pandemic. Anees Bazmee who made the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa has now hinted at ‘Welcome 3’.
Welcome is one of the most hilarious movies among Anees’s other comedy directorials. He has directed, No Entry, Ready, Hulchul, No Problem, and Pagalpanti among others. The mentioned movies are all light-hearted comic dramas. Welcome is still loved by many and its character Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai played by Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor respectively has won hearts. A sequel of the movie titled ‘Welcome Back’ was released in 2015 after 8 years of the original iconic comic masterpiece. Well, it comes as a piece of great news for Welcome fans, the director is not thinking over flaring the franchise of the film.
Anees Bazmee On Welcome 3:
Recently during an interview with a renowned media portal, Anees Bazmee was questioned if there will be a third film in the Welcome franchise. He replied, “Welcome ka sequel, mujhe lagta hai bahut kamal ki film banayi jaa sakti hai. Kyuki woh dono jo characters hai, Majnu aur Uday, woh itne logon ko lovable lage. Abhi meri mulakat hui thi Nanaji se. Nanaji bahut pyaar karte hai. Bahut asaan hai unke saath kaam karna,bahut acche insaan hai, bahut bade actor hai. Unko bas ye lagna chahiye ki haan,saamne waale mehnat kar rahe hai, mujhe bewakooof nahi bana rahe. Warna shooting karna bada muhskil kaam hai.”
Talking more about Nana Patekar, he added: “Aur woh aise insaan hai, poora surrender bhi karte hai director ko. Unko malum hai ki barabar kar raha hai, toh kahi koi sawaal nahi hai.Maine teen filmein kar di hai unke saath. Nanaji is such a brilliant actor and such a nice human being. I have seen very few nice people and Nanaji is one of them. Haan, gussa unko aayega , agar koi unko cheat karega, ya kuch galat kar rahe hai aap. Ferozbhai, jiss din bolenge, film banani hai teesri, toh bahut acchi film banayenge.”
