Bastar Box Office Verdict: Adah Sharma Starrer “Hit Or Flop”?

BastarBoxOffice: Directed by “The Kerala Story” filmmaker Sudipto Sen “Bastar: The Naxal Story” starring Adah Sharma was released in the theatres on 15 March. After opening up to ‘poor reviews’ from the public and critics the film registered a ‘super low’ opening at the box office. Now that the film has almost finished its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.

Bastar Box Office Collection Day 6

According to Sacnilk.com, the crime-drama movie “Bastar: The Naxal Story” featuring Adah Sharma had a lackluster opening at the box office, raking in just ₹50 Lakhs on its debut day. Over the first weekend, the film experienced modest growth, collecting ₹75 Lakhs on Saturday and approximately ₹81 Lakhs on Sunday.

However, after a little growth over the weekend, the film saw a huge drop during the weekdays starting from Monday. Bastar earned ₹25 Lakhs on Monday, ₹22 Lakhs on Tuesday, and approx. ₹17 Lakhs on Wednesday. Bastar now stands at a domestic total of a mere ₹ 2.64 Cr.

Bastar: Hit Or Flop?

Based on its box office earnings and significant decline in weekday collections following a lackluster opening, “Bastar: The Naxal Story” can be classified as a box office “FLOP”. Despite modest growth over its opening weekend, the film failed to sustain audience interest, resulting in minimal earnings and falling short of recovering its production costs. With a domestic total of just ₹2.64 Cr, the film’s performance indicates poor reception and limited commercial success.
