Ayushmann Khurrana Sheds Light On Ananya Panday Replacing Nushrratt Bharuccha In Dream Girl 2: ‘We Had To Cast…’

In This Sequel, Ananya Has Stepped Into The Role That Was Previously Portrayed By Nushrratt

Nushrratt Bharuccha recently opened up about her absence from the cast of “Dream Girl 2.” The actress candidly expressed, “But why they didn’t cast me in Dream Girl 2, I think only they can answer. I don’t know, there is no logic and there is no answer to it.” Her sentiments were shared with Times Of India, where she also added, “I am a human being, so of course it hurts. And of course it feels unfair.”

Nushrratt also took a moment to discuss the sequel’s trailer, offering her best wishes to Ayushmann, Ananya, and the entire team behind ‘Dream Girl 2.’

The lead actor of the film, Ayushmann Khurrana, has now addressed the matter in a conversation with Indian Express. He clarified,“This is an organic sequel to Dream Girl. We had to cast a different film, and Ananya fit the bill. I think she is very spunky and adds value to the film. The way she has taken the accent in the film, the Mathura accent, is very commendable. It was fun working with her and I would love to work with her in the future as well.”

In this sequel, Ananya Panday has stepped into the role that was previously portrayed by Nushrratt. The first installment of Dream Girl was a resounding success at the box office, and its second iteration is poised for release on August 25.

Meanwhile, Nushrratt is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie ‘Akelli,’ set to hit the silver screens on the same day, August 25. This has led to an unexpected clash with Dream Girl 2’s release date. Nushrratt clarified that this overlap was unintentional; her film was initially slated for release a week earlier. However, it was postponed to August 25 due to issues with the Censor Board. Despite the unintentional scheduling conflict, fans of both Nushrratt and Dream Girl 2 can anticipate an eventful cinematic experience on the horizon.
