Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan have gifted their huge Mumbai Juhu bungalow, “Prateeksha” to their daughter Shweta Bachchan. The megastar’s house Prateeksha is located in an opulent Juhu area of the city.
Amitabh Bachchan Gifts His Bungalow To Daughter Shweta Bachchan
As per the reports, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has gifted his Juhu Bungalow, Prateeksha to his daughter Shweta Bachchan. The transfer of his house to his daughter Shweta was made through two distinct gift deeds. The two separate gift deeds were signed on November 8. As per India Today a stamp duty of Rs 50.65 lakh was paid for the registration of the deed.
As per the report, the megastar’s bungalow Prateeksha is spread over two plots which measure approx. 674 square meters and 890.47 square meters. Both the plots are collectively valued at approximately Rs 50.63 crore according to the market value.
Previously Amitabh Bachchan once mentioned during his show KBC, that the name of the house Prateeksha was suggested by his father. The house also holds a great deal to the actor since it was his first residence in Mumbai and it’s also the place where he lived with his mother and father.
However reacting to the news many netizens took a dig at the actor’s family and shared their reactions, a user wrote, “This seems like a move to secure assets just in case Aishwarya files for divorce – good move though”, another wrote, “I’m really shocked because I understand that he loves his daughter but what about his daughter in law? What about his son? Batwara equal karna chaihye tha.. this is not a good example to set in society”

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen in Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff starrer Ganapath – A Hero Is Born. He will next be seen in the film, Kalki 2898 AD which will also star Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Disha Patani. He also has Thalaivar 170 with Rajinikanth.
