The actor recently appeared on the Sony television show Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 which is hosted by the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Netizens Upset With Aamir Khan’s Appearance At KBC
Days before the release of the film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ a boycott trend has been trending on Twitter, in which many netizens used the hashtag #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha on Twitter, asking people to not watch the movie. Recently some users have shared Aamir Khan’s controversial “India’s growing intolerance” statement on social media soon after which the boycott trend started circulating on social media.
Meanwhile, amidst these boycott trends the Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan appeared at Amitabh Bachchan’s show Kaun Banega Crorepati 14. The very first episode of the show was initially dedicated to the heroes of India as the episode will be an Independence Day special episode. Meanwhile, many famous personalities like MC Mary Kom, Sunil Chhetri, Major DP Singh, and Colonel Mitali Madhumita graced the first episode of the show. Meanwhile, actor Aamir Khan was also one of the guests in the first episode.
However, it seems that the netizens are not very happy with it, as a few social media users were seen criticizing the actor for appearing at the show and have demanded the audience to boycott the show as well. Another user wrote, “Gentle reminder please boycott #KBC#KaunBanegaCrorepati tonight show featuring #AmirKhan who wanted you to do so only, Don’t you follow what #Amir Khan preached ? You#BoycottKBC Let him realise that your choice matters, they are zero in India”.
Aamir Khan’s film Lal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump, in which Tom Hanks played the lead role. In such a situation, people are angry about copying the film. Apart from this, people allege that Aamir Khan has made many such statements in the past, which are against Indian civilization and culture. Moreover, the old statement of Aamir Khan’s ex-wife Kiran Rao is also being opposed once again.
Laal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan, and Kareena Kapoor in the lead, it also stars Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. The film is helmed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures. Laal Singh Chaddha will lock horns with Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan on 11th August.
