Recently, the internet went a buzz after the release of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial, Animal. The film was hugely criticized and slammed for too much “violence” and the “s*x scenes” in the film. Following the same, an old interview video of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has recently resurfaced on the internet in which the actor stated that directors who “aren’t talented” use violence and s*x scenes in their films to make it a box office success.
Aamir Khan’s Old Interview Video Resurfaces
In the old interview video, Aamir Khan expressed his views and said, that emotions like “violence” and “s*x” are very easy to provoke the audience and viewers. And directors who are not talented in creating a story, showing emotions, and creating situations, they depend heavily on violence and sex to make their films work.
Aamir claimed that such filmmakers think that if they show a lot of violence and sex in the film their film will be successful. However, doing this is very wrong, it may be possible for the filmmakers to achieve success by doing this but this harms society very much and is a wrong thing to do.
He then further added, that the filmmakers should keep in their mind to not show something that leaves a bad impact on the new generation while they make films. He said that the depiction of violence and s*x affects the minds of the youngsters and those who are in cinema are morally responsible for the same.
Talking about the viral old interview clip of Aamir many netizens said that it perfectly fits the description of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal since the film is filled with s*x and violence scenes. A user wrote, “omg this is literally the description of vanga’s films”. Another commented, “It’s obvious that Vanga uses shock value and imitation to make up for the lack of creative genius.”
Why Is Animal Facing Criticism?
For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal was recently hugely criticized by many netizens and moviegoers who claimed that the film was filled with scenes of “violence” and adult “s*x scenes”. Many tagged the film as a depiction of “toxic masculinity”. However, despite the huge criticism, the film managed to perform well at the box office crossing 300cr domestically and 500cr internationally.
