Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda who will soon make his debut with film, “The Archies” was reportedly approached for the role of “Laxman” in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film, Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi. However, it is believed that the young actor has “rejected” the offer to play Laxman in Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayana”.

For the unversed, Agastya Nanda will soon be making his Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s film, “The Archies”. While as per the latest reports and rumors, it was stated that the young actor was offered to play “Laxman” in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana, however he reportedly turned down the offer.
A source told Rediff, that Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda is currently too busy to be taking up any offers. The source claimed that the young actor’s hands are full since he had just completed Zoya Akhtar’s “The Archies” and he will soon be working on Sriram Raghavan’s film named Ekkis. Therefore, at this stage of his career, Agastya can hardly afford to play second fiddle to another actor.
Sunny Deol To Play Hanuman In Ramayana?
On the other hand, apart from Agastya Nanda, actor Sunny Deol has also been in talks to play the role of “Hanuman” in the film. For those who are unaware, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana will be featuring Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor as lord “Ram” alongside South actress Sai Pallavi as “Sita”, while KGF actor Yash will be seen essaying the role of “Ravan” in the film.
Earlier it was reported that the shooting of the film, Ramayana will begin in February 2024. A source previously revealed to Pinkvilla that the first part of the trilogy will focus on Lord Ram and Sita played by Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. The first part will feature the Sita Haran and the shooting will commence from February till August 2024.
