“Captain Miller” IMDb Ratings: Overshadows “Merry Christmas” With Amazing Rating Of…

While Captain Miller maintained its position with IMDb rating of 8.5 out of 10, Merry Christmas dropped to 8.2 out of 10.

The year 2024 has started with an amazing film release. On January 12, 2024, audiences get the best visual treat with the release of many films, like “Merry Christmas”, “Captain Miller”, “HanuMan” and “Guntur Kaaram”. People have a lot of choices for entertaining themselves this weekend. All the films have been released in theaters, but there are no talks about the box office clash. Well, IMDb has given fairly good ratings to the movies, and Dhanush starrer “Captain Miller” stands in second place.

Having multiple sheds of Dhanush’s appearance in the movie, it has overshadowed Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas. After the release, Merry Christmas topped the IMDb ranks with a fantastic rating of 9.1, and Captain Miller received a rating of 8.5. While Captain Miller maintained its position with 8.5 out of 10, Merry Christmas dropped to 8.2 out of 10. But Captain Miller couldn’t cross the superhero world of Prasanth Verma. “HanuMan” from Prasanth Verma’s universe got an 8.7 rating out of 10, and currently it is in first place among the four movies released today.

Merry Christmas and HanuMan were quite good with their promotions and PR. Both films did good publicity, and therefore it was obvious that they would receive a good chunk of audiences. But in the case of Captain Miller, there was no promotional event that happened as such, and it still got 8.5 out of 10 with their performances.

Captain Miller, having very rough and tough action, is directed by Arun Matheswaran. It is a period drama set in 1930–40. It’s complete fiction and not based on the life of Captain Miller. It’s a story where a British soldier changes his path for a good reason and then fights against a British-led Indian army.
