Ice Bag

The cold compress on the cheek with an ice bag can do wonders. The cold ice helps the pain-causing nerves to ease and numb it for a while. This can come in handy when the pain is too much to bear. One can either wrap an ice cube or two in a cotton handkerchief. Or they put an ice bag on the cheek.


Clove is among the age-old hacks to treat the toothaches. The clove oil can reduce inflammation and numb the pain. For the unknown, clove contains natural antiseptic. If one can’t find clove oil, they can use the clove stick as well. One must hold the clove between the paining tooth. Later on, spit it out.

Salt Water Rinse

Salt water rinse is also used to oral hygiene since a very long time. The salt water is natural disinfectant and the rinse can help get rid of the food particles stuck in the teeth.
