Sunil Grover Opens Up On His Fight With Kapil Sharma: ‘I Would Get Disturbed, But Not Anymore’

In a recent interview, Sunil Grover opened up on his fight with Kapil Sharma and how it all disturbed him.

Last year, Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover put an end to their 5-6 year-long feud by announcing their reunion for a Netflix show. Their highly publicized altercation is well-known, particularly during Grover’s stint on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ where he portrayed characters like Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati.

However, in 2018, Grover departed from the show following a fallout with Kapil. Reports surfaced that their dispute escalated during a flight from Melbourne to Mumbai in 2017 after completing a show. Sunil recently discussed their rift and subsequent reconciliation in an interview.

Talking about his fight with Kapil, Sunil told Indian Express, “Initially, I would get disturbed, but not anymore. I know the truth so what someone says or understands, is their problem, not mine. Those who point fingers, what is their credibility? If I need to answer something, I will do so, but usually, there is no need for an explanation. They don’t have a full understanding of the matter, no facts, they are just saying something because it’s their job. Writing negative things grabs more attention. They will all understand eventually”.

Sunil Grover-Kapil Sharma’s Fight

Sunil Grover gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of the fictional characters Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati, which garnered immense popularity on Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show, respectively. However, their professional relationship soured in 2018 following a heated altercation during a flight back from a show in Australia. Consequently, Sunil ceased collaborating with Kapil, and the two remained estranged until last year.

However, toward the end of last year, Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover reconciled and revealed plans for a Netflix series. Although specific details about the show are currently limited, the cast also features Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, and Archana Puran Singh.
