Vivek Agnihotri To Rupali Ganguly: Celebs Mourn Rituraj Singh’s Death

Reacting to Rituraj Singh's sudden death, many celebrities from both TV and film industry mourned for the actor and offered condolences to his family.

Anupama actor Rituraj Singh died on Tuesday, February 20. According to reports, Rituraj had been battling a pancreatic illness and was recently hospitalized after experiencing a heart attack. Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 59 on Tuesday. Reacting to the actor’s sudden and unfortunate demise many celebs from the film and TV industry expressed their grief.

Celebs React To Rituraj Singh’s Death

Taking to his X handle (formerly known as Twitter), filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri reacted to Rituraj Singh’s demise and wrote, “I never thought of posting this Ritz. I’ll remember you as “a man who laughed eternally.”

Actor Manoj Bajpayee wrote, “How can this be true Ritz? Why? Such a devastating news to wake up to ! Rest in peace Rituraj my friend!”

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta also shared his reaction on the actor’s sudden death, he wrote, “Rituraj!!!! Can’t believe this! I directed him briefly in a daily soap called K Street Pali Hill but in the process we became good friends. Been a while since we hung out but I have such fond memories. Untapped actor and a warm human. Gone suddenly and too early.”

Mourning the actor’s death and sharing his grief, actor Arshad Warsi wrote, “I am so saddened to know that Ritu Raj passed away. We lived in the same building, he was a part of my first film as a producer. Lost a friend and a great actor… will miss you brother…”

Rituraj’s Anupama co-star Rupali Ganguly also shared a long note grieving the actor’s death.

Varun Dhawan who worked with Rituraj in his film, Badrinath Ki Dulhania also reacted to his death and wrote, “#rip Rituraj sir had such a wonderful time working with him and had just met him a few months back on the sets of Baby John. Om Shanti.”

Kajol who worked with the late actor in web series ‘The Trial’ also shared condolences to the late actor’s family and wrote, “My deepest condolences to the family…prayers.”

Rituraj Singh is recognized for his roles in various television shows, including Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kutumb, Abhay 3, and Never Kiss Your Best Friend, among others. He also appeared in the popular show Anupamaa alongside Rupali Ganguly. Additionally, Rituraj contributed to films such as Satyamev Jayate 2 and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, where he portrayed Varun Dhawan’s father. This film also featured Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
