Shark Tank India: Vani Chugh, the founder of D’chica, responds to Vineeta Singh’s scathing remark that “you don’t listen,”

Richa Kapila, the founder of a women's innerwear brand based in Delhi, during an interview, said that sharks did not ask many crucial questions, and Anupam and Vineeta gave Vani Chugh some harsh criticism regarding her personality.

A talkative founder from Delhi made a pitch to the “sharks” on a recent episode of Shark Tank India, which featured Vineeta Singh, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Amit Jain, and Namita Thapar. Although the pitch for Vani Chugh and Richa Kapila’s women’s innerwear line D’chica was well received, Vineeta and Anupam took offense at Vani’s talkative demeanor. Even Aman expressed his disapproval of the founders and stated he could not see himself cooperating with them.

Nevertheless, Richa and Vani were successful in landing a joint contract with Vineeta Singh and Namita Thapar. With a Rs 80 lakh investment, 2.5 percent equity, and 1 percent royalty up until Rs 80 lakhs were recovered, the deal was closed. Following the show, Vani and Richa talked with Indianexpress.com about their experiences and how they interpreted all of the positive comments. They talked about how the show affected their business as well.

Vani stated, “Honestly, it was amazing, of course, you get nervous listening to that music.” in reference to her experience. Our pitch lasted approximately an hour, but the pitches are typically longer and involve a lot of candid discussion with the sharks. When you first walk in, it looks really intimidating, but these guys are really open, they try to make you feel at ease, and they joke around and laugh a lot. Thus, it was fantastic. Although we are accustomed to giving investor pitches, doing so on television and in front of the cameras can be a little unsettling.
