Sai Ballal’s Interview On His New Serial ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’ With Shrenu Parikh

Interview with actor Sai Ballal on his upcoming TV serial 'Ghar Ek Mandir: Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki' as he talks about his role and the show's concept.

Actor Sai Ballal, who is best known for his role of Kamal Narayan Rajvanshi in Colors TV Show Udaan is returning to the small screens next week. He will be seen playing a pivotal role in &TV’s upcoming show ‘Ghar Ek Mandir: Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki’. The show stars Shrenu Parikh as the lead protagonist named Genda.

We recently got in touch with Sai Ballal who will be essaying the role of Kundan Agarwal (Genda’s father-in-law). The unit is currently in Jaipur and shooting for the show under a hectic schedule. He said that they begin shooting at 9 am and pack up by 9 pm at night. He also mentioned that they haven’t got any time to go around Jaipur city to explore.

Talking about the show, he said, “It is a socio-mythology show. The show is based on the teachings of Agrasen Maharaj and how relevant they are in today’s time.”

When asked to comment on his role, Sai said, “I am playing the role of Kundan Agarwal who owns a jewelry shop in Chandni Chowk. It’s our family business. This man thinks that men should go out and work while women should stay back at home and run the household. When Genda (Shrenu Parikh) comes to our home after getting married to my younger son, there is a conflict of thoughts between us. And Maharaj Agrasen is the mediator.”

Sai feels that his image of a villain will change in the minds of the audience after watching the show. He said that he has played many dark characters after Udaan and is happy to finally play a different role. He said, “This character is very different from the one I played in Udaan. Both of them are poles apart. In Udaan, my character was totally black. But in this show, my character is very real and normal. You may see a man like him around you who lives with orthodox thinking.”

“He is a good man. It’s just that his thinking is a bit orthodox,” he further added.
