Television Actress Dipika Kakar Exposes Online Delivery Scam, Warns Fans

In her video, Dipika recounted her usual online shopping routine for herself and her son, Ruhaan. She described a recent incident where a delivery person demanded cash upon delivery, followed by a request for a one-time password (OTP) sent to her mobile phone.

Popular television actress and former Bigg Boss contestant, Dipika Kakar, has recently revealed a distressing encounter with an online delivery scam. Using her official YouTube channel, the “Sasural Simar Ka” star shared her ordeal, raising awareness about the need to be cautious regarding unexpected parcels and deliveries.

In her video, Dipika recounted her usual online shopping routine for herself and her son, Ruhaan. She described a recent incident where a delivery person demanded cash upon delivery, followed by a request for a one-time password (OTP) sent to her mobile phone.

Admitting that she paid without much thought, Dipika was shocked to find unordered items inside the package. Interestingly, the package had her name, address, and mobile number displayed.

Dipika went on to expose the scam, revealing that scammers send multiple packages and incessantly call, persistently requesting the OTP. This ploy is aimed at gaining access to the OTP and fraudulently withdrawing money from bank accounts.

In a plea to her viewers, Dipika urged caution, saying, “I want to urge everyone to be cautious – do not accept the order, and under no circumstances should you provide the OTP. Check the seller’s details on the package to determine whether it is genuine or a scam. Only then should you proceed with any payment.”

Dipika and her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, actively engage with their fans on social media, sharing their moments of affection and fun. The couple exchanged vows on February 22, 2018.

On the professional front, Dipika, renowned for her portrayal of Simar in “Sasural Simar Ka,” briefly returned for the show’s second season before departing after just two months.
