The much-anticipated film “Salaar” has finally made its debut on Netflix, captivating audiences across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Prabhas’ fans had been eagerly awaiting the film’s release on the popular streaming platform, and the moment has finally arrived.
The announcement of the film’s premiere on Netflix was made by the streaming service on January 19 through an Instagram post. Netflix, in their announcement, wrote, “Khansaar’s Salaar, Varadharaja Mannar’s Salaar is here, and you already know the war machine is UNSTOPPABLE! #Salaar is coming to Netflix on 20 January in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada (sic).”
However, there’s a conspicuous absence of the film in Hindi. The reason behind this decision lies in the film’s release strategy.
According to media reports, the Hindi version of Salaar is slated to release on OTT platforms after a 56-day gap. Based on these calculations, Salaar (Hindi) is expected to hit OTT platforms around March 16 this year. While Salaar (Hindi) is anticipated to debut on Netflix and premiere at midnight, an official announcement regarding the release date, time, and streaming platform is yet to be made.
“Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” is an action-packed drama written and directed by Prashanth Neel, acclaimed for his work on ‘KGF.’ The film marks the first collaboration between Prashanth and the leading stars, Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Alongside them, the cast includes Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Mime Gopi, Sriya Reddy, and others in pivotal roles.
Speaking about the success of Salaar, Prabhas expressed his gratitude, stating to news agency ANI, “I am deeply grateful and humbled by the immense love and support given by the audience.
