Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor recently graced the chat show, Koffee With Karan season 8 alongside her sister Khushi Kapoor. During the episode, Janhvi and Khushi opened up about their dating and personal lives. Apart from that Janhvi was also seen recalling the heartbreaking moment when she learned her mother, Sridevi had died.
In the recent episode of Koffee With Karan 8, Janhvi Kapoor opened up about her mother Sridevi’s tragic death. Janhvi revealed that she heard about her mother passing through a phone call soon after she ran to her sister’s room who was wailing.
Janhvi said, “When I got the call, I was in my room and I could hear wailing from Khushi’s room. I think I barged into her room, hauling and crying but what I do remember is she looked at me…..and the minute she looked at me, she just stopped crying. She just sat next to me and started comforting me and I’ve never seen her cry about it since”
In one of her previous interviews, Janhvi previously revealed to Vogue about the last moments she shared with her mother Sridevi. Janhvi revealed that she asked her mother Sridevi to put her to sleep before she jetted off to Dubai to attend Arjun Marwah’s wedding.
Sridevi’s Death
For the unversed, Sridevi died in February 2018. The sudden tragic demise of the actress left all her fans and her family in a state of utter shock. Sridevi died in Dubai while she was attending Boney Kapoor’s nephew, Arjun Marwah’s wedding. The veteran died of accidental drowning. Soon after her death, Boney Kapoor’s other two children Anshula and Arjun showed support to Janhvi and Khushi, and the family reunited soon after.
