Selena Gomez And David Henrie Are All Set To Reunite For The “Wizards Of Waverly Place” Sequel Series In 2024

Wizards of Waverly Place is coming back! Selena Gomez and David Henrie are both revered for their popular characters played during their Disney days on the show Wizards of Waverly Place, a cult Disney series that made them famous. The powerhouse duo pair is now returning back to their Disney days and will be seen reprising their characters as adult siblings in the upcoming much-awaited sequel to the popular show Wizards of Waverly Place. It is giving major nostalgia vibes to fans, and we are stoked to witness this magical reunion and new adventures in the Wizard World.

Disney revealed that Selena Gomez is confirmed to reprise her beloved role as Alex Russo again, making a stellar guest appearance in the pilot, whereas David Henrie will reprise the iconic role of Justin Russo as a series regular, and he will be leading the sequel. While the pilot will see the Russo brothers reunite once again, don’t expect to see too much of Selena Gomez in forthcoming episodes as the series moves ahead, as the Rare Beauty founder and multifaceted singer will only be a guest star in the series as Alex Russo and won’t be a full-time fixture in the sequel.

Henrie and Gomez will be executive-producing the series, along with the series’ writers, Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. The sequel series will continue the legacy and magical journey of the Russo family.

Gomez expressed her excitement on social media and confirmed the news on her Instagram Story, writing that she was so excited and we’re back. Her staunch fans are super stoked to hear this news. The new budding wizard leading the series is named Billie and will be portrayed by Janice LeAnn Brown; Fickman will take on the role of director for the project.
