Actor Robert Pattinson, who rose to fame owing to the popular vampire franchise Twilight as Edward Cullen, may have fond memories of it, but the paparazzi are not included. For many years, the 33-year-old actor has been a favorite of paparazzi in the midst of the release of the five films of the franchise. The first part of the Twilight series came out in 2008. Looking back now on media frenzy, the private star admits he will always wear certain clothes as a shield to protect himself, report some sources.
I have so many paparazzi horror memories, “Pattinson shared in an interview with the British GQ.” And I still wear full-on security gear, hood up, hat off, “he added. But, Pattinson, who’s been Dior’s face for years now, expressed that he’s come a long way in the style department.
“If I chose to wear my own clothes, I don’t think I would have gone in a lot of directions that I have with Dior and people like Kim Jones,” Pattinson said. “I would never have thought I was going to wear chiffon, silk, and satin. I was wearing this tuxedo, which last year had basketball shorts-I never imagined that!” added Pattinson.
One of Pattinson’s biggest fashion failure? His ensemble during the 2005 premiere of Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. “With these cowboy boots and a velvet jacket I wore leather trousers,” he said. “I mean, it looked basically like a kid had gone into a dressing-up box,” Pattinson added.
On the work front, Pattinson is set to play the titular masked superhero in next year’s The Batman.
