Jonas Brothers fans finally got the much-awaited news! The trio brother, Nick Kevin and Joe Jonas took to their social media and shared a photo of them in a studio. Alongside the photo, the JoBros teased in the caption, “Making the new album.” To increase the excitement, Joe Jonas revealed in the comment that they have already completed the album saying, “You mean finished the album.”
Fans went into a frenzy in the comments on the post, not knowing whether to believe Joe that the album is finished or the Jonas Brothers account saying it is being worked on. However, the new album will be the trio’s first new one since 2019’s Happiness Begins. The album was the group’s third chart-topping debut, according to Billboard. More recently, they dropped the single ‘Who’s in Your Head’ in September 2021 and wrapped their 2022 Las Vegas residency.
The upcoming album will be the group’s sixth studio album, as they also released 2009’s Lines, Vines and Trying Times; 2008’s A Little Bit Longer; 2007’s Jonas Brothers and 2006’s It’s About Time. The Jonas brothers have been teasing new music for two years, and Joe promises it will be worth the wait. As the singer said in a previous interview with Pop Sugar, “The music, it’s headed towards… I just think a whole new era.”
In July, Nick Jonas and his brothers appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan, where he revealed that the upcoming album has been in the works for a couple of years. Jonas revealed that the new album is his “favorite stuff we’ve ever done.” Meanwhile, on asked when fans will hear some new tunes from the JoBros, Nick Jonas said, “We’re usually really cryptic about this. I just kind of feel like that’s really stupid. I don’t know why we do that.”
Nick then revealed, “We’re working on new music for sure. I can tell you I think it’s my favourite stuff we’ve ever done. It’s basically an evolution of the sound in a way I think is really natural for us and feels like a great next step.” Since the release of the Jonas Brothers’ most recent album, Happiness Begins, in 2019, the band has released singles including What a Man Gotta Do, X with Karol G, and Leave Before You Love Me with Marshmello.
