Singer Lizzo recently faced sexual harassment charges from her former employees a few days ago, and now her dancer crew members from “Big Grrl” and “Big Boiii” have shown support for Lizzo. In an open letter shared on Instagram, the crew members recalled about the wonderful times they experienced during The Special Tour, which concluded at the end of July.
“We have been so honored to share the stage with such amazing talent, the commitment to character and culture taking precedence over every movement and moment has been one of the Greatest lessons and Blessings that we could possibly could ask for. The letter emerged after three of Lizzo’s tour dancers reportedly accused her of fostering a hostile work environment through sexual, racial, and religious harassment.
According to the New York Post, one accuser claimed that Lizzo told employees that it was ‘normal’ for dancers to be ‘dismissed when they gain weight.’
Lizzo, however, has denied all allegations, asserting that these accusations arise from former employees who had previously been cautioned about their inappropriate behavior during the tour.
These events have cast a shadow over Lizzo’s reputation and career trajectory, raising doubts about her proclaimed dedication to body positivity and her statements. The accusations challenge the authenticity of her advocacy for self-acceptance and inclusive values.
