Joe Jonas has filed for divorce from his wife, Sophie Turner, according to Page Six. The couple had been married for four years and has two children together. A source close to them told Page Six, “Divorce was a last resort for Joe. He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to take what he felt was the best course of action for his girls.” The source added, “An unhappy home isn’t a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through a difficult time this year. There’s a lot of speculation, but it wasn’t a situation where one event led to the decision like it’s being reported.” Page Six also quoted the source as saying, “It just kept building, and Joe finally reached a point where he felt that he had exhausted all options to salvage the marriage.”
A few days ago, there were speculations about their divorce, and reports began to surface that Joe was seeking a divorce lawyer. The singer was also frequently seen without his wedding ring on various occasions.
Sophie and Joe got engaged in October 2017 and had an impromptu chapel wedding in 2019, later officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator. Subsequently, the couple hosted a formal wedding ceremony in France, attended by close friends and family members. Sophie and Joe welcomed their first child, daughter Willa, in July 2020, and they welcomed their second child, a baby girl, in July last year.
On the work front, Sophie is renowned for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, while Joe is a member of the famous musical band Jonas Brothers.
