It’s already been 4 months since New Year started and there hasn’t been a single venture of Shah Rukh Khan released. But yes, the wait is over as King Khan will soon appear on the big screen in his upcoming action thriller ‘King’ along with his dearest daughter Suhana Khan. The film has been backed by the most creative directors, Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. ‘King’ will mark another big budget, power-packed action cinema after Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’.
There is no official news that has been shared by Shah Rukh Khan yet, but a source close to the venture revealed some insights with PinkVilla which said, “Shah Rukh Khan is making films for the audience and is well aware about their urge to see him in shades of grey. King is his passion project and he has been meticulously working on all aspects of the project with Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh. They have collectively carved a very cool full of attitude and swag character with shades of grey for SRK in King.”
The film ‘King’ is still in its pre-production stage, and it will start filming in September this year. As per India.com reports, Shah Rukh will portray the character of ‘Underworld’s King’ and hence many claim that he will return with his most iconic character of Don in his upcoming film. The source revealed to PinkVilla that, “While the character designing is already done, Siddharth Anand is presently working on the action blocks with international stunt teams. Sujoy, on the other hand, is getting the dialogue draft ready, whereas SRK is overseeing the creative process and training with Suhana on some new-age action sequences.”
This will mark the first ever theatrical release of Suhana Khan. She debuted through Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archie’ which was released on Netflix along with Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda.
