Tom Felton on Thursday suffered an apparent medical emergency on the golf course. The 34-year-old actor, best known for playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, collapsed while participating in a round of celebrity golf tournament on September 23 at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, ahead of the Ryder Cup.
Images from the moment show a group of people around the film and TV actor after his apparent collapse. Pictures also show the 34-year-old being carted off the course, but later he appeared to be conscious. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the spectators gave Felton applause as he headed for treatment even after being collapse.
The tournament was held as part of this year’s Ryder Cup and the moment happened on the 18th hole. Tom was quickly surrounded by people who helped him onto a cart. He appeared to be conscious while being driven away, though his current condition is unknown.
Harry Potter star was playing with former athletes Teemu Selanne, Mike Eruzione, and Dan Jansen. It appears that he is hopefully alright as he posed with the athletes after the tournament.
However, the representative for Felton did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Just a day before, Tom celebrated his 34th birthday. He uploaded his black and white selfie on his official Instagram handle and captioned it, “33 years done – good lord it’s been so much fun getting here – yet, somehow, I still feel the best is yet to come – thank you all for your love, support & sense of humour – let’s keep a good thing going – to the next 33 xx.”
