Korean actor Kim Min Jae recently took his fans by surprise after the actor announced his military enlistment online. On 6th September, the actor’s agency disclosed the official date on which the actor will be joining the military.
According to the statement, the actor will be joining the military on 18th September. According to Soompi, Kim Min-Jae’s agency, Nyam Nyam Entertainment announced, “Kim Min Jae will be enlisting in the military on September 18 to fulfill his mandatory military service. We ask for your unwavering love and warm support until the day he returns in good health.”

On the same day, the actor also addressed his military enlistment with his fans through his official fan cafe. Addressing the curiosity of his fans the actor confirmed that he will fulfill his mandatory military service by 18th September.
He added, that although he’s sad and feels regretful at the thought of not being able to see his fans for a while, but at the same time he is also excited and grateful to be able to experience and learn more through my military service.
The actor concluded thanking his fans for being thoughtful and caring towards him. The actor stated that he will return as a stronger and more enriched individual and will make sure to repay for the love his fans have showered.
Apart from Kim Min-Jae many Korean actors like Nam Joo Hyuk, Park Bo Gum, Lee Min Ho, Park Seo Joon, Song Joong Ki have also served the military. For those who are unaware, in South Korea men between the age of, 18 to 28 years have to serve the military for at least 18 to 21, which is mandatory.
