In Marvel Studios‘ Thor: Love and Thunder, Actor Tessa Thompson has revealed that Hollywood star Christian Bale will perform the antagonist. During her conversation with an entertainment portal, the actor revealed the news on the sidelines of three premiere events of HBO’s Westworld season.
“I’ve read the script. I can’t tell you much. Lots of exciting text messages exchanged between Natalie and I. “We’re going to have fun. Taika is writing (and) directing. Some familiar faces. Some new people coming into the mix. Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic,” Thompson stated.
Bale, who previously played DC superhero Batman in the highly acclaimed The Dark Knight trilogy by Christopher Nolan, was confirmed to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in January. Since delivering MCU’s 2017 blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok, Taika Waititi is back in the chair of the Manager.
Chris Hemsworth will play Norse god Thor while Natalie Portman is back as Jane Foster. Thompson will reprise her Valkyrie persona. Marvel Studios or Disney’s parent company have yet to officially announce the casting of Bale. Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in November 2021.
