Google has recently revealed the list of the most searched tv shows in its ‘Year in Search 2022’ list. And the list has been topped by the HBO Max series, Euphoria.
Euphoria
The teen drama series follows a group of high school students who struggle with drugs, love, social media and money issues as they come of age while trying to establish their identity. Rue, played by Zendaya is the main character of the series. The series has been the centre of controversies for its inclusion of nudity. However, the cinematography, score, and performances of the cast are remarkable and have received several accolades.
House Of The Dragon
The second most searched tv show is the Game Of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon. The prequel series follows two siblings’ fight for the throne, after the death of their father, thereby causing a civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons. House Of The Dragon has garnered over 10 million views.
Moon Knight
Moon Knight is the third on the list. The sixth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) follows Steven Grant and mercenary Marc Spector as they investigate the mysteries of the Egyptian gods from inside the same body.
The Watcher
The fourth most searched tv show of 2022 is the Netflix series, The Watcher. The mystery thriller is an adaptation of Reeves Wiedeman’s eerie New York magazine article from 2018. Based on true events, The Watcher follows a family that buys a dream home in the wealthy suburb of Westfield, NJ, only to find that someone else has already, in a sense, laid claim to it.
Inventing Anna
Inventing Anna is the fifth trending tv show. Netflix’s Inventing Anna tells the wild true story of Anna Sorokin, who posed as a wealthy German heiress named Anna Delvey while living in N.Y.C. The series revolves around a journalist who investigates the case of Anna Delvey, the Instagram-legendary heiress who stole the hearts and money of New York elites.
Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
Dahmer became Netflix’s second most-watched English-language series of all time within 28 days, and the third Netflix series to pass 1 billion views in 60 days. The Netflix series is based on the story of one of the most notorious serial killers in the United States, largely told from the points of view of his victims.
The Boys
The superhero television series follows a group of vigilantes set out to take down corrupt superheroes who abuse their superpowers.
All Of Us Are Dead
The South Korean coming-of-age zombie apocalypse horror series follows the trapped students who must escape their high school which has become ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak.
