BAFTA Awards 2024 Winners List: “Oppenheimer”, “Poor Things” Outshine BAFTAs

Oppenheimer had altogether 13 nominations, and won 7 of them and Poor Things had 11 nominations and won 5 awards at BAFTAs.

The stage of the 77th British Film Awards was dominated by that most anticipated movie, “Oppenheimer”.  The British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards, which took place at 12:30 am on February 19 in London, grabbed the attention of cinematic world fans. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Deepika Padukone’s presence are the two things that are making headlines everywhere. Oppenheimer had altogether 13 nominations, and won 7 of them. Here is the complete list of BAFTA 2024 winners.

Oppenheimer received the Best Film Award and, within that, the movie banged the show with 6 more awards, which includes the Best Director to Christopher Nolan, the Best Leading Actor-Cillian Murphy, the Best Supporting Actor-Robert Downey Jr, Best Cinematography, Best Editing these two technical awards and the Best Original Score etc. 

Emma Stone starrer “Poor Things” had 11 nominations and won 5 of them, which are as follows: Best Leading Actress to Emma, Special Visual Effects, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Makeup & Hair. Apart from these two movies, the other winners are:

Earth Mama- Savanah Leaf (writer, director, producer), Shirley O’Connor (producer), Medb Riordan (producer)

Best film not in the English language:

Best documentary:

But the disappointing thing about BAFTA 2024 is that Oscar nominated Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” and Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” didn’t receive a single award at BAFTA 2024.
