Sanjay Dutt is a prominent face in the Bollywood film industry. We have all seen his blockbuster movies, like Munna Bhai M. B. B. Talking to Sanjay Dutt regarding this, she said, “I have seen you in films and heard you in films. And that was enough for me to recognize that you can sing. Dutt Sahab,your voice has acting and a base. There are very few people who have a masculine base to their voice and you have it.” And hence Asha Bhosale recorded Aapke Dil Mein Thodi Si Jagah Chahiye with him.
Sharing his own experience of this song, Sanjay Dutt said, “I was very shocked and surprised when she offered me this. It is my honour that I get the opportunity to sing with Asha Mam.” Throughout the recording, Sanjay Dutt was very nervous. Being a non-singer, it was obvious that he would get shy and uncomfortable. But apart from all these things, Sanjay Dutt gave his best performance in this album song. Asa Bhosale personally liked his voice in the song.
She praised him for his performance, saying, “You proved that you are, son of Nargis and Sunil Dutt. You have already made many amazing movies and now this song is really the best.” According to her, no one can talk fluently while singing, just like Sanjay Dutt does.
