Do you remember ‘Anna’ from the 1994 film ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’? The young and innocent character was played by actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, who was just a teenager at that time. The film also featured Shahrukh Khan, Deepak Tijori and Naseeruddin Shah.

‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ has completed 28 years of release. While Shahrukh Khan became the Badshah of Bollywood, his co-star Suchitra Krishnamoorthi seemed to have disappeared from the limelight.

Where is Suchitra Krishnamoorthi?

After the success of ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’, Suchitra did a few films. At the peak of her career, she married filmmaker Shekhar Kapur in 1999 and quit her career. The couple was blessed with a daughter named Kaveri Kapur.

In 2005, she made a comeback with Anil Kapoor’s film ‘My Wife’s Murder’. In 2007, Shekhar Kapoor and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi ended their marriage.

Suchitra was then seen in Hindi films like Aag (2007) and Rann (2010).

Suchitra has a passion for singing and has also released her pop alumbs. She is also an accomplished painter. Her paintings are displayed and sold at exhibitions organised in different parts of the world.

In 2009, Suchitra turned author with a book titled ‘The Summer Of Cool’.

She is also an entrepreneur. In 2012, she founded ‘The Candlelight Company’.

After 2010, she again took a break from the Bollywood industry. In 2019, she made another comeback with John Abraham’s film ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ in which she played the role of a newspaper editor. She will be next seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
