​When Randhir Kapoor Talked About Ranbir Kapoor’s Bollywood Debut 

Ranbir Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with the film "Sawariyaan" and when his uncle, actor Randhir Kapoor was asked about Ranbir's appearance on the screen, he said that he was extremely joyful about his debut.

Randhir Kapoor, son of Raj Kapoor and grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor, turns 77 today. He started his career in the film industry as an actor through “Kal Aaj Aur Kal” in 1971 and till date, he has appeared in more than 50 films, and later he delivered his legacy to his children, may it be Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor or his brother Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor. No doubt Kapoor’s kids deftly picked that talent and have earned popularity in the Bollywood film industry. 

When Ranbir was about to enter the glamorous world of B-town, his uncle Randhir Kapoor gave him best wishes and blessings in this exclusive interview with Lehren Retro. When he was asked about Ranbir’s appearance on the screen, he said that he was extremely joyful about his debut. He said, “Aap sab mil kar mere chhote bhatije Ranbir ko aashirvad de ki who achha kam kare aur aapke pyaar ke kabil ban sake (you all give him blessing for better work so that he can deserve your love).”

Ranbir Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with the film “Saawariya” in the year 2007. Even Sonam Kapoor was introduced to Bollywood in the same film. Though the film was a commercial flop, Ranbir received a Filmfare Best Debut Award for that year. 

Randhir Kapoor lauded his father, actor Raj Kapoor, who is known to be the whole and sole of RK films and studio. Raj Kapoor was always way ahead in his work. He never followed any trend and audiences still love to watch his films. Randhir Kapoor just accepted the greatness of his father. He expressed his gratitude towards fans for accepting the Kapoor family with open arms.
