Controversies Surrounding Adipurush Movie Intensify As Veteran Actor Vindu Dara Singh Slams Makers, Says “It Is Truly Shameful”

Vindu Dara Singh Criticises Adipurush For Tarnishing Ramayan's Image And Failing To Uphold Legacy

Most anticipated movie Adipurush, featuring acclaimed actors Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, has found itself embroiled in a storm of controversies ever since the release of its teaser. Directed by Om Raut, the film has faced widespread backlash due to its dialogues and subpar visual effects.

Adding fuel to the fire, veteran actor Vindu Dara Singh, renowned for his portrayal of Hanuman on multiple occasions, has strongly criticised the film’s creators. Vindu’s father, the legendary Dara Singh, immortalised the role of Lord Hanuman in the iconic Ramanand Sagar TV show Ramayan, leaving behind an indelible legacy.

In a recent interview with a news publication, Vindu expressed his dismay at the makers of Adipurush for tarnishing the image of Ramayan and diluting the legacy established by other actors. Vindu stated, “Hanuman was powerful and always smiling. The actor playing the role can’t even speak proper Hindi. They have completely transformed him with the dialogues they have given him. Their efforts have been a colossal failure.”

Highlighting the historic significance of his father’s portrayal, Vindu emphasized that no one can undermine his father’s legacy or come close to what he accomplished onscreen. Condemning the makers of Adipurush, he stated, “Their actions are shameful. They cannot touch my father’s legacy. I fail to comprehend their intentions or the purpose behind this film because, believe me, they have achieved nothing. They have simply ruined the movie and produced an abysmal product.”

Expressing his disappointment, Vindu further criticized the film, remarking, “It is truly shameful to witness what they have created. I am unsure if they were under the influence of drugs or what they were thinking. They had a golden opportunity to make an outstanding movie with a substantial budget, but they squandered it. Instead, they have distorted the story with absurd elements. It is truly disheartening.”

Regarding the controversies surrounding Adipurush, last month the All India Cine Workers Association wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, urging them to take legal action against the film’s creators.
