Throwback When Geeta Kapur Joins Farah Khan’s Choreography For Gurdas Maan’s Song “Pyar Kar Le”

Bollywood has been blessed with some proficient choreographers, like Saroj Khan, Ganesh Acharya, Prabhu Deva, Remo D’souza, Chinni Prakash and many. Many of them are “Guru-Shishya” duets. One such popular beloved pair is Farah Khan and Geeta Kapur. Geeta Kapur, popularly known as Geeta Maa in the industry, learned this art of dancing from choreographer and director Farah Khan. Geeta Maa and Farah Khan shared a precious bond. Here is the exclusive video by Lehren Retro, where Geeta Kapur assisted Farah Khan for Gurdas Maan’s song. Geeta’s presence on set was so strenuous and live, that Farah didn’t need to stand and look upon everyone.  

Gurdas Maan is a songwriter, singer and actor who mostly works in Punjabi Music. He made his album including 9 songs and “Pyar Kar Le” is one of them, which was choreographed by Farah Khan. Gurdas Maan’s song and Farah Khan’s choreography had fine-tuning between them. This album, which was released in 2000, has a large girls’ mob. Farah put her soul into it. Master Feroz Khan was also part of this choreography. Geeta and Feroz assisted Farah; they adapted whatever excellence they could, and today they are one of the prominent faces in the industry. They were both judges for many seasons of Dance India Dance.

Talking about Farah and Geeta’s relation, Geeta called Farah her second mother. Even Farah is confident about Geeta that she will come to assist her anytime if she calls. Till date, Farah has choreographed more than 100 songs and has been honored with a National Award and Filmfare Award for her expertise. Geeta Maa has also worked on many songs. “Tujhe Yad Naa Meri Aayi” is one of the noticeable songs she has choreographed.
