Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has received harsh criticism ever since she wore Goddess Lakshmi jewellery with a revealing dress during her ramp walk. A few days ago, when she arrived at Lakme Fashion Week 2023, she wore a red shimmery gown with a broad golden necklace in which there was a photo of Goddess Lakshmi. As soon as her photo appeared on the internet, people got angry, and since that day, she has been trolled very badly. Now, recent reports stated that a police complaint has been filed against Taapsee in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for hurting the sentiments of Hindus.
As per the reports of ABP News, Eklavya Singh Gaur, from the group Hind Rakshak, has lodged a complaint against Taapsee Pannu. In his objection, he alleged that she wore revealing outfits that featured the goddess Laxmi’s locket. No FIR has been filed yet, but the investigation is underway.
Taapsee Pannu’s Lakme Fashion Week outfit, designed by Monisha Jaising, drew a lot of criticism on social media. A particular group of individuals cruelly trolled the Dobaaraa actress for offending their sensibilities. Reacting to her post one user wrote, “Shame on tapsee totally disgusting kisi bhi religion k symbols ko aap kese represent karte ho yeh aapko as a celebrity pata hona chahiye.” Another user wrote, “Tapsee mam please delete this photo and video kyuki yeh photo hamare sanatan dharm ka apmaan ho raha mujhe samajh nahi aata ki aap aur other celebrities aise kaam kyu karte ho jisse controversies ho please mere aapse request hai ki aap please photo and video ko delete kar dijiye jisme maa Lakshmi ka apmaan hua hai main aapki respect karta hoon aapse request karta hoon ki photo aur post ko delete kar dijiye.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen in Jawan opposite Shah Rukh Khan under the direction of Rajkumar Hirani. Along with this, she is working on the sequel of “Haseen Dillruba” with Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal.
