Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu recently walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week 2023 and wore a bold red shimmery gown designed by Monisha Jaising. However, the actress is receiving severe backlash on social media over her choice of jewelry on a revealing dress. She accessorized her sparse attire with a big, golden necklace featuring the goddess Lakshmi. As soon as her photos started to circulate online, netizens pointed out the necklace’s intricately etched Goddess Lakshmi design and trolled the actress for wearing it with such an exposing outfit.
The video of the actress has more than 50,000 likes, but her comment section is full of backlashes. Several people are upset with Haseen Dillruba, the actress, for donning the goddess Lakshmi necklace while wearing a dress that displayed her large cleavage. One angry user wrote, Aisa chhichhorapan karte hue inko bhagwan ki yaad aati hai… Aur log kuch bolenge to ulta Gyan aur jhadenge. Another user wrote, “Disgusting shame on you.” One more user wrote, “Aise vulgar photo me Maa Laxmi ka haar pehna huaa hai… Shame on you tapsee!” Another one wrote, “Shame on tapsee totally disgusting kisi bhi religion k symbols ko aap kese represent karte ho yeh aapko as a celebrity pata hona chahiye.”
On the professional front, Taapsee will next be seen in the upcoming movie “Dunki,” where she will appear opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Rajkumar Hirani directed the motion picture. In addition, she is working on the sequel to “Haseen Dillruba” with Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal.
