The Archies Star Agastya Nanda bags Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ekkis’ film

After months of preparation, Sriram and Agastya are now all set to commence the journey of bringing the heroic tale to the big screen."

Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda  after his debut with “The Archies”, will begin filming for his big screen debut “Ekkis”, with director Sriram Raghavan in January 2024. The film is touted to be a biopic of the 1971 war hero, Arun Khetarpal. Veteran actor Dharmendra will also feature in the movie in a key role. 

Sriram Raghavan, who is gearing up for the release of his thriller “Merry Christmas”, will soon commence shooting with Agastya Nanda for “Ekkis”. “The Archies” actor has been roped in to play the role of the leading character, Arun Khetarpal, while Dharmendra will essay the role of his father, ML Khetarpal. 

A source close to the development said, Sriram wanted a young actor to play the part of Arun Khetarpal and feels that Agastya fits the role like a hand in a glove. After months of preparation, Sriram and Agastya are now all set to commence the journey of bringing the heroic tale to the big screen.”

Reportedly, Agastya is reading the script these days and will begin shooting for this film next month i.e. January 2024.

Agastya Nanda was last seen in Zoya Akhtar’s “The Archies”, the musical-comedy premiered on Netflix on December 7. It also featured Suhan Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Dot and Mihir Ahuja, among others.. 

Sriram Raghavan winner of National Film Awards, on the other hand, is known for films including, “Badlapur”, “Ek Haseena Thi” and “Andhadhun”, among others. His next, “Merry Christmas”, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif is slated to hit theatres in January 2024.
