Anupama Fame Rupali Ganguly Joins BJP

Rupali Ganguly, known for performance in shows like "Anupama" and "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai", has now joined Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

In a press conference held on Wednesday, May 1, in New Delhi, television star Rupali Ganguly announced her decision to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking to the media, the Anupamaa actress expressed her views, and said, “I am so honoured to be here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has influenced me a lot. I am a big fan of PM Modi. BJP has been doing great work and therefore I wanted to join the BJP. I am very thankful to the party.”

Accompanied by political figures Vinod Tawde and Anil Baluni, Rupali made her political debut at the press conference. Although the Anupamaa actress has declared her entry into politics, she has not yet confirmed whether she will contest in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Rupali joins the ranks of Kangana Ranaut, Arun Govil, and others who have also joined the BJP this year.

Who Is Rupali Ganguly?

Rupali Ganguly started her career as an actor, gaining fame for her role as Monisha Sarabhai in “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.” She briefly left the industry, pursuing a hotel management course, before returning to acting. She married Ashwin K Verma, who is now a homemaker in 2013 and they have a son named Rudransh. Ganguly’s popularity soared with her role in the TV series “Anupamaa,” which began in 2020.
