The trailer of the eagerly anticipated Uunchai was unveiled today. The film stars Parineeti Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher in the lead roles. While at the recent trailer launch event, the Uunchai director Sooraj Barjatya revealed that earlier Salman Khan confronted him about his wish to become a part of the film.
Sooraj Barjatya Reveals Salman Khan Wanted To Do “Uunchai”
During the trailer launch of Uunchai Sooraj Barjatya said, “When I was making this Salman asked me, ‘Sooraj what are you making?’ then, ‘Why are you going to the hills?’ Then he also told me, ‘I can do this film!’ I said no! Because we all know he can climb mountains. But I needed people who can look as if they can’t,”.
Amitabh Bachchan who virtually joined the trailer launch event said that he is honored for being a part of the film, he said, “This is not my first association with Rajshri Productions, I have worked with them in my earlier days. Jaya and Abhishek too have worked with them. It is an honor for me that Sooraj Ji gave me a chance to work in a film like Uunchai with such great actors. I would like to congratulate everyone.”
About Uunchai
Uunchai is a unique story of three old friends on a trek to the mountains. Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher’s elderly aged trip to the Himalayas is headed by a tour guide Parineeti Chopra. Uunchai will also star Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta, Sarika, and Nafisa Ali Sodhi.
Uunchai is helmed by Sooraj Barjatya under the banners of his home production Rajshri Films, Mahaveer Jain Films, and Boundless Media. Sooraj Barjatya returned to the directorial chair after 7 years. The three friends will go on a trek of Uunchai on 11th November 2022.
