Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has put up a decent total on opening day. Film has minted Rs. 15.73 crore on first day according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
The film seemed to have performed well in mass pockets of NCR, Gujrat and Uttar Pradesh. The Holi holiday factor has also helped it’s business in many states. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar had an overall 22.42 per cent Hindi Occupancy on Wednesday, March 8.
The film’s collection figures will be a relief to makers who have been waiting for a box office hit for quite some time. Though romantic-comedy lost some business due to Holi one day early in some states, it will make up for the loss in coming days. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar had a good amount of advance booking for the first day and the ticket sales went up by evening due to positive word-of-mouth. And seeing such positive word of mouth one can hope that the ticket sales will gain more steam by the coming weekend.

Directed by Luv Ranjan, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, has mostly received positive reviews from the critics. Audience is also praising the performance of the lead pair- Ranbir and Shraddha, especially their fresh pairing and innovative chemistry.
