Ramdas Athawale Supports Payal Ghosh In Her Molestation Case Against Anurag Kashyap

Rajya Sabha MP Ramdas Athawale extended his support to Payal Ghosh who has filed a molestation case against Anurag Kashyap.

Days after filing a police complaint against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, actor Payal Ghosh met Republican Party of India (RPI) chief and Rajya Sabha MP Ramdas Athawale. Payal has accused Anurag of molestation and she is now demanding his quick arrest in this case.

Payal alleged that Mumbai Police is not investigating the matter in a speedy manner despite registering an FIR, just because he is an ‘influential person’.

Payal Gjosh meets Ramdas Athawale:

On Monday, Payal and her lawyer met Ramdas Athawale to discuss the case. The Minister then addressed the media and showcased his support towards Payal. He stated that they are giving the Mumbai Police a 7-day timeline to take action against Kashyap. He also said that if no action is taken, his party will protest across the city.

Ramdas said, “Payal has dared to complain against Anurag Kashyap. Many actors came out in support of him, but Kashyap hasn’t assaulted them. This is about Payal Ghosh and her experience. She will get protection from my party. We are hoping for action against the accused soon. I will be writing to Amit Shah soon. Kashyap should be arrested soon.”

On the other hand, Anurag Kashyap has been refuting all the claims made by Payal Ghosh. A few days ago, he wrote in a series of tweet, “It took so long to silence me. It’s okay. In an attempt to silence me, you ended up lying so much that you have dragged other women despite being a woman yourself. Maintain some decorum, madam. I just want to say that whatever your accusations are, they are baseless.”

His ex-wives Aarti Bajaj and Kalki Koechlin came out in his support and so did several females from the industry who have previously worked with Anurag.
