Rajshri Productions Launches Two Fresh Faces In Bollywood With ‘Dono’ Movie

Rajshri Productions’ latest film, ‘Dono,’ is all set to release on October 5, 2024. The film marks the debut of two star kids in the lead roles: Rajveer Deol (Sunny Deol’s son) and Paloma Thakeria (Poonam Dhillon’s daughter), who is also a well-known figure on social media. The movie is directed by debutant director Avinash S. Barjatya, under the production banner ‘Rajshri Productions,’ which is headed by Filmmaker and Producer Sooraj R. Barjatya’s son.

‘Dono’ falls into the romantic genre and features melodious music and family values, in line with the renowned production house’s tradition. Rajshri Productions has a history of delivering classic-cult hits such as ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya,’ ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun,’ ‘Vivah,’ and many more.

The production house now focuses on a “smart and calculated” film distribution strategy to maximize box office numbers and generate buzz for their films. According to Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, ‘Dono’ will initially be released on a selected 273 screens in India for the first week, with an increase in screen count based on audience “word of mouth.” This strategy was also followed for their previous release, ‘Uunchai,’ which was a semi-hit and featured notable actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, among others.

‘Dono’ has generated considerable buzz on social media, particularly among the youth, as the film introduces two new faces. Following the massive success of Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar-2,’ all eyes are on Rajveer Deol’s performance in his debut film. Avinash is the third-generation filmmaker from the Barjatya family, showcasing his dynamic directorial skills in this movie. The film’s theme revolves around a lavish destination wedding, with the soundtrack composed by the famous music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Additionally, ‘Dono’ marks the first collaboration between ‘Jio Studios’ and the Rajshri family.
