Original Badhaai Ho film had an ensemble star cast of Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta and Surekha Sikri who played the main characters along with actors Ayushmann Khurana and Sanya Malhotra playing the male and female leads, but the sequel cast has now officially been finalised with Rajkummar and Bhumi roped in for the Badhaai Ho sequel.

Both Rajkummar and Bhumi are extremely iconic and ace talented actors in our Bollywood industry where Rajkummar is known for charming the critics and audiences with some of his best path breaking career best performances in films like Shahid (2013), Trapped (2016), Newton (2017) and Stree (2018) and has proved his credibility as an easily adaptable actor who can pull off unconventional characters very effortlessly.
Bhumi on the other side has created a permanent place for herself in the hearts of the audiences and viewers with her powerful roles in films like Toilet Ek Prem Katha (2017), Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017), Bala (2019), and Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019) and is one of the most versatile actors in our industry today.
One of the most lovable, surprising and sleeper hits from 2018 was Badhaai Ho which created a place in the hearts of the audiences with its unique family centric comedy drama and also ended up becoming a huge commercial and critical success where the planning for its sequel had already been underway.
The Badhaai Ho sequel has been given a title of Badhaai Do where ace actors Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar will be seen playing the role of the male and female lead.
The film is going to be directed by HarshVardhan Kulkarni, who has earlier directed the successful sex comedy film Hunterrr (2015). This film is going to be produced by Junglee Pictures yet again who had also produced the first part back in 2018.
The official announcement about the same had been done by renowned film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his official twitter handle where his tweet read, “CONFIRMED… #RajkummarRao and #BhumiPednekar to star in #BadhaaiDo… Part of #BadhaaiHo franchise… Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni [director of #Hunterrr]… Produced by Junglee Pictures [#Talvar, #BareillyKiBarfi, #Raazi, #BadhaaiHo]… Starts Jan 2021”.
Interestingly, Rajkummar and Bhumi had also come together as guests in Koffee With Karan back in 2018.
