‘PM Modi’ Meets Veteran Superstar ‘Saira Banu’ In New Delhi

Prime Minister Of India shares photographs of his meeting with the majestic Saira Banu.

Prime Minister Of India Mr. ‘Narendra Modi’ met veteran cinema star ‘Saira Banu’ on Friday Morning the- 10th of November. Both celebrated personalities reportedly discussed about a variety of subjects during the meet. Taking it to social media platform ‘X’ the PM shared a post featuring pictures of the two and penned a caption expressing gratitude :”It was wonderful to meet Saira Banu Ji. Her pioneering work in the world of cinema is admired across generations. We had a great conversation on a wide range of subjects.”

‘Saira Banu’ was married to the late superstar ‘Dilip Kumar’ famously known as the ‘tragedy king’ of the Indian Film Industry. Despite having an age gap of more than 22 years , the actress quite often at numerous occasions expressed that she was deeply in love with ‘Dilip Sahab’ and always wanted to marry him. Saira made her debut in the world of movies with film ‘Junglee’; playing the lead opposite the most handsome late ‘Shammi Kapoor’ in 1961 for which she was in turn nominated for a- Filmfare award for ‘Best Actress Category’.

The ‘Junglee’ fame artist starred in numerous blockbuster films like ‘Bluffmaster’, ‘Padosan’, ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Ayee Milan Ki Bela’ and many more. The chartbuster song ‘Kashmir Ki Kali Hu Mai’ showcasing Banu is till date considered to be of the most evergreen and iconic tracks in the retro list. Especially known for her charismatic looks and glamorous aura the movie star had garnered immense praise and love for her performances and craft by millions of people across India and globe in the 60’s & 70’s era.

Back in 2018, Saira Banu had also tweeted for help and interruption tagging Pm Modi, in relevance to Dilip Kumar’s legal property suit; stating that a Mumbai based builder has falsely claimed the ownership of 2 plots where Kumar’s bungalow was built.
