Parineeti Chopra recalls hardship and struggle shooting Code Name Tiranga during COVID in Turkey

Parineeti Chopra is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie Code Name: Tiranga. This marks Pari’s first full-fledged action-packed film. The action flick set to release on 14th October was shot during the global pandemic. CDT team traveled to Turkey just three days before the country announced lockdown during the 2nd wave of COVID. Parineeti Chopra recalls their hardship and struggle shooting during the most difficult times.

Chopra said, “We shot Code Name Tiranga during one of the most unpredictable times mankind has ever seen, we left for Turkey 3 days before India went into lockdown during the 2nd wave of COVID-19. As blessed as I was to get to do what I love doing most which is acting, every single day was very difficult as we had many challenges to deal with.”

She went on to say, “There were days when we didn`t know whether we will be able to shoot the next day or not, and one day of shoot getting cancelled meant restructuring the entire schedule. The feeling was that the entire crew was isolated on an island. What happened because of this is that all of us became like one big family away from home, who were dealing with so many obstacles day in and day out. The director and the producer of the film stood rock solid and they decided to take up every challenge that came their way. I wouldn`t have chosen anyone else other than the team of Code Name Tiranga to go through those difficult times together, and we are stronger for it.”

Parineeti will be playing a RAW agent in her upcoming film Code Name: Tiranga. In the nationalist actioner, she is on a mission for the nation’s pride. The action-packed film also stars Punjabi singer Harrdy Sandhu. The movie is a story of a spy on an unfaltering and fearless mission for her nation in a race against time where sacrifice is her only choice.

Code Name: Tiranga is helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Reliance Entertainment, Film Hangar, and Vivek B. Agrawal. The actioner is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series Film, and Reliance Entertainment. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on 14th October 2022.
