Laal Singh Chaddha: The much-awaited Hindi film Laal Singh Chaddha has collapsed at the box office. The Aamir Khan starrer film is struggling to get footfall in the theatres despite releasing it on a festive weekend. There’s indeed no doubt that the film has turned out to be nothing but a ‘huge disaster’ at the box-office, as now there are no OTT buyers for the film and the film is also expected to be taken off from the theatres soon.

No OTT Buyers For Laal Singh Chaddha

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer film, Laal Singh Chaddha undoubtedly turned out to be a disastrous flop at the box office. The much-awaited film was embroiled in a list of controversies even before its release. While as far as the box office figures are to be concerned, it is expected that the star-studded big budget film will now wrap up on the theatres with earnings around Rs 60-70 crore.

Advait Chandan’s film which was earlier expected to get an OTT release on Netflix is now getting no OTT buyers, after witnessing a terrible run at the box office. A source told Bollywood Hungama about how the Bollywood actor Aamir Khan wanted his film to get an OTT release on the streaming giant Netflix which has apparently backed out of the deal.

The source quoted to Bollywood Hungama, “Aamir started negotiations with a massive figure of Rs. 150 crores citing his box office history and records. If that was not enough, Aamir was also adamant that the film would release on Netflix a whole six months after its theatrical release. Netflix tried its best to get Aamir to relent and lower the cost and time period between the theatrical and OTT release.”

Laal Singh Chaddha To Be Pulled Off The Theatres Soon?

Laal Singh Chaddha‘s box office collection has shocked everyone in the movie biz. According to the reports, the film collected Rs 1.5 crore on Saturday. The total collection in India now stands at Rs 54 crore while the worldwide collections have positively passed the 100 crore mark. However, with recent blockbuster releases like Karthikeya 2, and the upcoming much anticipated Vijay Deverakonda’s film liger, the film might be pulled off from the theatres soon, seeing its stagnant growth at the box office.
