Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone recently grabbed the headlines after several pictures and videos of the actress attending the BAFTA 2024 in London went viral on social media. After the Oscars, Deepika participated in BAFTA 2024 as an award presenter. While her fans have been in awe of the actress for her appearance, however, some netizens on the other hand were seen accusing Deepika of copying Alia.

Deepika graced the red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall in London for the awards ceremony, donning an elegant white saree paired with a matching backless blouse. Her outfit of the night was crafted by designer Sabyasachi, known for creating stunning saree ensembles for Deepika.
Reacting to Deepika’s outfit at BAFTAs a few netizens accused the actress of copying one of Alia Bhatt’s previous saree looks from 2022. Sharing a picture comparing the two actresses a user wrote, “#DeepikaPadukone u really need to create your own style. Bhabhi Looking fabbbb”. Sharing a comparison video of the two actresses the same user wrote, “Every Masterpiece Has Cheapest Copy #DeepikaPadukone waiting For Your Disgusting PR”.
Fans Defends Deepika Padukone, Says “Its Alia Who Copies Deepika”
However, Deepika’s fans defended the actress and claimed that it is Alia who copies the Fighter actress. Reacting to the accusations against Deepika a user wrote, “Lol… Your bhabhi needs to upgrade her style and should stop copying DP… Which she failed miserably”, “Soon to be copied by Alia though.”, one user commented, “Alia stop stalking deepika”, mentioning Alia another user wrote, “she already sent the pictures to her designer”.

During the event, Deepika Padukone presented director Jonathan Glazer with the award for Best Film Not In The English Language for ‘The Zone Of Interest’.” Apart from her singer Dua Lipa was also among one of the presenters during event.
Deepika Padukone has previously showcased the saree on the global stage. She donned a Rohit Bal saree at her debut Cannes Film Festival appearance years ago, followed by a Sabyasachi saree and an Abu-Sandeep ensemble while serving on the Cannes jury in 2022.
