Mahesh Bhatt talked about Soni, Parveen Babi, and how his friend philosopher UG Krishnamurti advised him to leave her if he truly loved her.

Mahesh Bhatt, a prominent Bollywood filmmaker, has had quite a controversial personal life. He was allegedly involved in a relationship with the late actress Parveen Babi, which garnered a lot of attention in the media. Parveen Babi was a well-known actress, and their relationship became the subject of extensive discussions when she made certain allegations against him. He was in a relationship with Parveen and married to Kiran Bhatt at the same time, and they had a daughter named Pooja Bhatt. Later, he fell in love with Soni Razdan and married her. They have two children together Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt. In a recent interview, Bhatt talked about Soni, Parveen Babi, and how his friend philosopher UG Krishnamurti advised him to leave her if he truly loved her.

During a conversation on Arbaaz Khan’s chat show Invincibles, Bhatt shared that Arth, starring Shabana Azmi, Smita Patil, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda, which became a path-breaking film, was crafted from the wounds of his failed marriage. “People say Parveen’s second breakdown was because of ‘Arth,’ but I don’t agree. I was talking about my life. It was an autobiographical film that was fictionalized.”

In a revelation, Mahesh Bhatt shared that he hadn’t met Parveen Babi again after their breakup in the 1980s. During that tough time, his friend UG Krishnamurti supported him and advised him that “You will not be out of this business and she is unfit for this business, if you really love her, leave her.”

After parting ways with Parveen Babi, he decided to spend time with his newborn son, Rahul Bhatt.

However, he found love again in Soni Razdan. Talking about the incident, he said, ‘I remember telling Soni, ‘Don’t come near me, I will destroy you.’ But she said she was ready to be destroyed.’
