The much-awaited Hindi film Laal Singh Chaddha has collapsed at the box office. Within the first week of its release, the film is struggling to get footfall in the theatres despite releasing it on a festive weekend. Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer film is a box office disaster.

Laal Singh Chaddha‘s box office collection has shocked everyone in the movie biz. According to the reports, the film has collected Rs 48 crore. On Day 6, it collected just Rs 2 cr. In the times when films easily do 100 cr biz within 6 days, Laal Singh Chaddha has been unable to cross the 50 cr mark. According to Box Office India report, the film might not even be able to earn Rs 75 crore lifetime. The film is most likely to be taken down from the theatres very soon. Now the makers can only hope for some relief when the film is released on OTT.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the remake of the American movie Forrest Gump. It features Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in the lead roles. It is directed by Advait Chandan. The film is jointly produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18. Laal Singh Chaddha was released in theatres on 11 August and clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan. One major reason for Laal Singh Chaddha‘s failure is the boycott trend amongst the Hindi audience.
